Hello!

My name is Michał Siemaszko .

It's pronounced as [MEE-how She-ma-shko].

I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Warsaw, working in the Quantum Information Technologies Research Group under the supervision of prof. Magdalena Stobińska.

What I do

My research focuses on quantum machine learning. In particular, I work on time-series prediction in photonic architectures. Recently I'm working with the experiemntal group in Vienna who has access to the quantum photonic memristor. Earlier in my PhD, I spent time at the European Space Agency (ESA Φ-lab) in Frascati, developing quantum recurrent neural networks for satellite Earth observation data. This year I spent 1 month in OIST (Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology) under the supervision of prof. Bill Munro.

Beyond quantum computing, I love data analysis and data visualizations. I enjoy scraping quirky or overlooked public datasets and building custom visualizations from scratch. For more check the Project card.
